Heritage Train schedule undergoes changes

Train to operate five days a week from November 4, 2023

The railway has recently modified the schedule of the first heritage train in the state, which operates on this particular track. This change, effective this month, means that the train, connecting Marwar Junction and Kamli Ghat, will now operate five days a week instead of its previous six-day schedule.

Commencing on November 4, 2023, this train will now be operational exclusively on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Up until this change, it had been running on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The train departs from Marwar Junction at 8:30 AM and arrives at Kamli Ghat at 11:00 AM, allowing for a stoppage of 3 hours and 30 minutes during the journey.

On October 5 of this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a virtual train based in Jodhpur. This train allows for group bookings on Saturdays and Sundays, while general bookings are available on other days.
