India Rank Drops in 2025 Henley Passport Index

Udaipur, January 14, 2025 - India’s passport ranking has dropped to 85th on the 2025 Henley Passport Index. It now allows visa-free access to 57 countries, fewer than the 60 countries last year. In 2024, India was ranked 80th, and in 2023, it was 84th. This shows a steady decline in the passport’s global strength.
Highlights of the 2025 Index

Top Spot: Singapore has the world’s most powerful passport, allowing visa-free travel to 195 out of 227 destinations.

Europe’s Shift: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, and South Korea are now tied for 3rd place.

UAE’s Rise: The UAE made it to the top 10 for the first time, granting access to 185 destinations.

China’s Growth: China climbed to 60th, a significant rise from 94th in 2015.

Afghanistan at the Bottom: Afghanistan remains at the lowest rank, with visa-free access to just 26 destinations.
