IndiGo to Launch Direct Flights to Manchester and Amsterdam in July

Udaipur, March 7, 2025 - India’s largest airline, IndiGo, will start direct flights to Manchester and Amsterdam from July 2025. These will be IndiGo's longest flights and will be operated using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. IndiGo’s new Manchester route will be the only non-stop connection between India and the city. Currently, all other flights require at least one stop.
Flights Operated by Wide-Body Aircraft
Earlier this year, IndiGo leased a Boeing 787-9 from Norse Atlantic Airways, which began operations on March 1, 2025. The airline has now expanded this agreement to include three more aircraft, expected to join later in the year.
Flight Frequency and Approvals
IndiGo will operate flights three times a week to both Manchester and Amsterdam. These routes are subject to regulatory approvals. If more aircraft join the fleet, IndiGo may increase flight frequency and add more European destinations in the future.
