The Kumbhalgarh Festival, organized by the Department of Tourism and District Administration in Udaipur, is scheduled to take place from December 1 to 3, 2023. This annual event, overseen by the Deputy Director of Tourism Department, Shikha Saxena, promises a vibrant celebration of Rajasthani culture. Set against the majestic backdrop of Kumbhalgarh, the festival showcases the rich tapestry of Rajasthan's artistic heritage. Each year, renowned Rajasthani folk artists gather to mesmerize the audience with captivating dance and music performances.

Various artists from different regions of Rajasthan will showcase their talents

Shri Virendra Singh from Kishangarh will perform the Ghoomar Dance, Shri Shiv Narayan from Baran will present the Chakri Dance, Shri Gopal Dhanuk from Baran will captivate with the Sahariya Swang Dance, Shri Harishankar Nagar from Udaipur will mesmerize the audience with the Kachchhi Ghodi dance, Shri Parsamal from Barmer will showcase the Lal Angi Ger Dance, Shri Deu Khan from Barmer will enchant with Langa Manganiyar singing, Shri Dhanraj from Kumbhalgarh will showcase Bankia Vadak, Shri Vikram from Chittorgarh will amaze with Behrupiya, Shri Surendra from Churu will enthrall with the Dhap Dance, Dharmi Bai from Gogunda will showcase the Tertali Dance, Varsha Saini from Bikaner will perform the Bhavai Dance, and Shri Pata Khan from Barmer will captivate with the Kalbelia Dance.

The festival not only serves as a cultural extravaganza but also highlights the historical significance of Kumbhalgarh. Nestled in the Aravalli Range, the fortress of Kumbhalgarh stands as a testament to Rajasthan's architectural grandeur and cultural legacy. Attendees can expect a sensory feast as they immerse themselves in the rhythmic beats of traditional music and the vibrant hues of Rajasthani dance forms. The Kumbhalgarh Festival, with its splendid blend of art, history, and culture, promises a memorable experience for all who attend.

Kumbhalgarh is located about 84 km from Udaipur. The place is counted in the World Heritage Site included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Kumbhalgarh is also known as the Great Wall of India and is 48 Km from Rajsamand City. 

The festival is scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM in the afternoon. These events are organized to commemorate Maharana Kumbh's significant contributions to art and culture. The festival is split into two parts. During the day, locals showcase regional specialties like traditional clothing, jewelry, handicrafts, and souvenirs in lively exhibitions. As evening falls, the atmosphere transforms with vibrant sound, light displays, dance, and music. Engaging competitions, including activities like tying turbans (Pagadi Bandho), tug of war, and musical chairs, add excitement, attracting both locals and foreigners. Visitors can also enjoy a historical and well-loved puppet show.

For decades, the state tourism department has carefully curated and fostered this event, establishing it as one of the country's renowned festivals.
