Udaipur's famous Lake Pichola has been honored by being included in a list of the world's most beautiful lakes. The list, which features 48 stunning lakes, was released by the British magazine “Condé Nast Traveler.”

Lake Pichola holds the distinction of being the only lake from India and Rajasthan to make it to this prestigious list. It has been ranked 28th out of the 48 lakes selected.

How did the portal describe Pichola?

Situated in the historic city of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India, this man-made freshwater lake is surrounded by stunning palaces and mountain peaks. As one of Udaipur's oldest and largest lakes, it sits at the heart of a city often referred to as the "City of Lakes." Created in 1362 by Pichhu Bajanara, Lake Pichola offers scenic boat rides that are a favorite among visitors.
