Udaipur, March 20, 2025 - The construction work on the new, integrated terminal at Maharana Pratap Airport is progressing at a fast pace and is expected to be over by mid-next year. Once this terminal is operational, it could transform the future of the city. It is expected to provide a major boost for Udaipur's tourism industry, attracting the attention of domestic and international tourists to the City of Lakes. This will make air travel to Udaipur easier and help the tourism industry soar to new heights.

There will be a high possibility of international flights from Udaipur in the future, providing a huge advantage for both international tourists and local people. During construction, separate facilities are being developed to cater to both domestic and international passengers. Once international flights are approved, passenger volume and the number of flights are expected to increase significantly.

This terminal is being built at a cost of Rs 887 crore and will cover an area of 40,000 square meters. Which makes it four times larger than the existing terminal, thereby increasing passenger capacity significantly to triple. According to reports, it will be able to accommodate around 2,050 passengers at a time, a big jump from the current 680-passenger capacity. The terminal will have two entries and two exits. Additionally, 42 new check-in counters will be built, bringing the total to 55. Four new aerobridges will be built, increasing the total to six.
