New protocols and SOPs demanded for vaccinated travellers
-The vaccinated travellers must be provided with certificates.
-The Indian government shoud tie up with all countries verifying and accepting their certificates.
The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has demanded that new protocols and SOPs must be enforced for the vaccinated travellers. In the appeal to the Central government, the TAAI President Jyoti Mayal asked the Ministries of Civil Aviation and Tourism to set up guidelines for travellers who have been vaccinated.
It has been demanded that verifiable certificates be issued to vaccinated travellers so that they can resume their activities. Relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been demanded by TAAI.
Every vaccinated person must be issued a certificate and the government must tie up with all countries verifying and accepting their issued certificates. Since many countries have started the vaccination procedure, many inoculated travellers are willing to travel to India. There is no clarity as of now on how the entries will be permitted. A uniform policy has been urged for setting up the verification process for the vaccinated travellers and flyers.
TAAI also suggested that the vaccinated people should be certified with the date of vaccination and the necessity of a negative RT-PCR or a quarantine period must be waived off. The travel insurance should be taken by all travellers coming to India. They also suggested that a verifiable certification should be issued to every citizen and linked to the Aadhar card. The travel agents association argued for mandatory health/travel insurance for travellers covered under mediclaim or a corporate medical cover policy.
