Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railway Minister, has revealed intentions to manufacture 10 sets of Vande Bharat sleeper trains. BEML is ready to manufacture these sets, with ongoing projects for additional Vande Bharat sleeper trains. The Vande Bharat sleeper trains are crafted to travel at 160 kmph, showcasing improved acceleration and braking capabilities, with the objective of substantially reducing travel time on busy routes of the Indian Railways.
The first version of the Vande Bharat sleeper train will include 11 coaches for AC 3-tier, 4 coaches for AC 2-tier, and 1 coach for AC 1st class.
