Development work in full swing at the Rana Pratap Nagar Station
Various passenger facilities related development works are currently underway at 15 stations of Ajmer Division under the Amrit Station Yojana. Rana Pratap Nagar station in Udaipur is also undergoing rapid redevelopment as part of this initiative.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager BCS Chaudhary has reported that the main building of the station has been completed, and finishing work is progressing, including the installation of doors, windows, color, lighting, and water fittings.
In addition to this, work on the outside boundary wall and entrance gate is ongoing, and the development of the station's circulating area will follow. It is anticipated that this station work will be finished by the end of the year, and construction of the platform shelter is almost complete.
Notably, Rana Pratap Nagar will undergo several redevelopment works at a cost of Rs 20.86 Cr under the Amrit Station Yojana. These include the development of the circulating area with separate entry and exit gates, dedicated parking for auto-rickshaws, two-wheelers, and four-wheelers, as well as the upgrading of platform No. 01 to a higher level.
Other works encompass the construction of an entrance hall, porch for passenger boarding and deboarding, coach indication boards on platforms, a food plaza, improved waiting rooms with separate toilets, enhanced interior design of the entire station building, new platform shelters, new toilet blocks and drinking water kiosks for the physically challenged, provision of better signage, lifts, improved furniture, and the construction of a 12-meter-wide foot over bridge.
