Udaipur Sees Rise in Tourists Ahead of Monsoon Season

Udaipur, known for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage, has witnessed a notable influx of tourists as it prepares for the upcoming monsoon season. According to Shikha Saxena, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, a total of 109,788 tourists visited the city in June 2024.

The majority of these visitors, totaling 107,500, were domestic tourists seeking to explore Udaipur's historic landmarks, picturesque lakes, and vibrant markets. Additionally, 2,288 tourists arrived on various visas for tourism, employment, or business purposes, highlighting Udaipur's appeal as both a leisure and business destination.

Known as the "City of Lakes," Udaipur attracts tourists with its stunning architecture, including the majestic City Palace overlooking Lake Pichola, and the serene surroundings that come alive with the onset of the monsoon. As the monsoon season approaches, Udaipur anticipates welcoming even more visitors.
