The online travel portal Travel India has recognized Udaipur and Jaipur from Rajasthan in its list of the top 10 heritage cities to visit during the festival season. This acknowledgment highlights the cultural significance of these cities, especially during the festive period.

Increased Tourist Influx  

With the ongoing Diwali celebrations, Udaipur is experiencing a surge in tourists. Visitors are arriving from various states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. This influx has led to a peak in tourism, and crowds are expected to persist for about a week.

Focus on Heritage and Culture  

The Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, Shikha Saxena emphasized that the department is focusing on heritage and cultural tourism, along with religious and spiritual tourism. This strategic marketing aims to enhance the tourism experience and promote the rich cultural heritage of Udaipur.
