On September 2, 2024, at Udaipur City Station, the Vande Bharat Express train number 20981, running between Udaipur and Agra Cantt, was flagged off in the esteemed presence of Udaipur MP Manna Lal Rawat, and MLA Udaipur (Rural), Mr. Phool Singh Meena.

It is noteworthy that the Railways have introduced a new tri-weekly Vande Bharat Superfast train service between Udaipur City and Agra Cantt with the aim of facilitating passengers and connecting tourist destinations.

• Train number 20981, the Udaipur City-Agra Cantt tri-weekly (Monday, Thursday, Saturday) Vande Bharat Superfast train service, will depart from Udaipur City at 5:45 AM and arrive at Agra Cantt at 2:30 PM, starting from September 2, 2024.
• Similarly, train number 20982, the Agra Cantt-Udaipur City tri-weekly (Monday, Thursday, Saturday) Vande Bharat Superfast train service, will depart from Agra Cantt at 3:00 PM and arrive at Udaipur City at 11:45 PM starting from September 2, 2024. On its route, this train will halt at Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli, Chanderiya, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Gangapur City stations.
