To enhance passenger convenience, the Udaipur City-Asarwa-Udaipur City rail service will be upgraded to Superfast trains starting January 1, 2025. This change includes new train numbers and revised schedules.

According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the train number 19703, currently running as Udaipur City-Asarwa Express, will be replaced by the new number 20987, operating as Udaipur City-Asarwa Superfast service. The updated schedule will see the train departing from Udaipur City at 16:05, an earlier time compared to the previous 16:55 departure, and arriving at Asarwa station at 21:30, instead of the earlier 22:35.

In a similar update, train number 19704, Asarwa-Udaipur City Express, will transition to the new number 20988, Asarwa-Udaipur City Superfast service. Starting January 1, 2025, this train will depart from Asarwa at 06:50, slightly later than the previous 06:40 departure, and will reach Udaipur City at 12:20, instead of the earlier 12:30.
