Udaipur Indore Express will run on LHB Rake

LHB Rake is mostly used in high speed trains

LHB Rake rail service between Indore and Udaipur has started for the convenience of the passengers. In December 2003, the first such rake was implemented for the Rajdhani Express between Mumbai and New Delhi. Indian Railways made the decision to search for a passenger-designed coach that would be lighter and more speed-capable than their current rakes.

According to North Western Railway spokesperson Ashok Chauhan, train number 19329 Indore-Udaipur rail service has operated from Indore on 15.02.23 and train number 19330 Udaipur-Indore rail service has been operated from Udaipur on 16.02.23 with LHB coaches.

In this train service, there will be a total of 22 coaches including 01 First AC, 02 Second AC, 06 Third AC, 08 Second Sleeper, 03 Ordinary Class, 01 Powercar Class and 01 Guard Coach of LHB Rake.

LHB is German technology. It is mostly used in high speed trains. Due to which the train will be able to run on the track with even more speed. Along with this, due to more space, passengers can sit and lie on the seat comfortably. Chances of accident are less because these coaches do not derail easily. The Ministry stated that these coaches are improving passenger comfort and safety by outfitting them with cutting-edge technology including disc brakes, a hydraulic suspension system, a center buffer coupling system, and side suspension.

24 air-conditioned coaches were initially purchased from Germany for use on the Shatabdi Expresses, and then, following technology transfer, the Rail Coach Factory began producing coaches. To increase safety and comfort, Indian Railway stated that all ICF coaches will be replaced by LHB coaches. The LHB Coaches were employed for the majority of the new coaches introduced by Indian Railways. All of these coaches have improved passenger comfort and are utilized in high-end trains like the Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto Express, and superfast trains.

Steel is used to make LHB coaches. They are thus lighter than Integral Coach Factory (ICF) coaches.
