Udaipur-Mumbai Flight’s Emergency Landing
A flight from Maharana Pratap Airport in Dabok to Mumbai faced an unexpected turn when IndiGo's flight 6E845 departed two hours late at 9:30 PM. Just half an hour into the journey, at 10:00 PM, the flight had to urgently return to Udaipur Airport due to technical issues. All 186 passengers aboard were reported safe. Following the cancellation, passengers expressed concerns and sought clarity from airline staff regarding the technical fault cited for the emergency landing.
Passenger Experience
Vijay Kumawat, a resident of Navratna Complex, recounted that during the flight, passengers began sweating and felt a lack of oxygen. Fortunately, IndiGo Airlines promptly arranged accommodation for them in a hotel to manage the situation. The flight is now rescheduled to depart for Mumbai at 7:30 PM on Sunday evening.
Jaipur Airport User Development Fee Increase
Jaipur Airport will soon see a significant increase in the User Development Fee (UDF). Currently set at Rs 394/- per passenger for domestic departures, this fee will more than double to Rs 805/- starting August 1. Additionally, a UDF of Rs345/- per passenger will be imposed on domestic arrivals, which previously did not incur such charges. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided on this fee hike to finance essential infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing facilities and ensuring better security measures.
