The roadways administration has also granted permission for the operation of a new sleeper bus

In a much-awaited move, the roadways resumed its services from Sayra to Surat on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Former minister Dr. Mangi Lal Garasiya, along with Congress general secretary Lal Singh Jhala, inaugurated the event by flagging off the first bus. The ceremony was graced by the presence of notable figures including Pradhan Sava Ram Gameti, Narpat Singh Champawat, Vice President Sumersingh Ranawat, Former President Narayan Paliwal, and Sayra Mandal President Jabbar Singh. Pratap Singh Deora led the welcome committee, presenting the bus driver and conductor with garlands and traditional Mewar turbans.

The resumption of the Surat roadway comes as a relief for the local population, particularly for the migrant communities of Sair and Gogunda. The closure of the bus route in the past months had caused significant inconvenience to the residents. Dr. Garasiya highlighted that, in addition to the regular bus service, the roadways administration has also granted permission for the operation of a new sleeper bus.

The reinstatement of the roadways marks a positive development for the region, providing improved connectivity and easing travel for the local populace.
