The South East Central Railway is implementing a non-interlocking block to facilitate the installation of a third railway line at Chandia Road Railway Station. This station holds a central position within the Shahdol-Roopnath-New Katni Junction rail sections, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bilaspur Division. This development aims to enhance railway infrastructure and efficiency in the region. The addition of a third line at Chandia Road Station is part of the ongoing efforts by the railway authorities to improve connectivity and operational capacity. 

As per the announcement by Captain Shashi Kiran, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Western Railway, the railway services currently operated by Northern Railway are slated for cancellation.

• Train Number 20971, Udaipur-Shalimar Express Railway Service, 25.11.23 and 02.12.23.
• Train Number 20972, Shalimar-Udaipur Express Rail Service 26.11.23 and 03.12.23.
• Train Number 18213, Durg-Ajmer Express Rail Service 26.11.23 and 03.12.23.
• Train Number 18214, Ajmer-Durg Express Rail Service 27.11.23 and 04.12.23
