Celebrity Wedding

In addition to the usual surge in visitors, Lake City is set to reach new tourism heights due to the highly anticipated royal wedding between Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and AAP party leader Raghav Chadha, which is scheduled to take place in the enchanting city of Udaipur. Notably, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, and their entire American family are set to grace the city for this momentous occasion. This star-studded event is poised to further elevate Udaipur's status as a premier tourist destination. It is anticipated that destination weddings will witness a surge in the upcoming wedding season, proving advantageous for the local hotel industry.

Travel Connectivity Increased

With the anticipation of a successful tourist season, the hotel industry stands to gain significantly, thanks to improved air and train connectivity. Udaipur's plethora of lakes makes it a coveted destination for travelers from far and wide. Enthusiasm among those involved in the hotel and tourism sectors is palpable, as they look forward to a prosperous season. According to hotel proprietors, the accessibility of Udaipur has been enhanced by the expansion of both air and train services, further fueling the optimism for increased tourism activity.

Udaipur is experiencing a boost in connectivity with several destinations. Flights are now operational from Udaipur to Surat, Rajkot, and already to Ahmedabad. Furthermore, there are now a total of 5 trains connecting Udaipur to Asarwa, Ahmedabad. This enhanced connectivity has strengthened ties with Gujarat, making Udaipur even more accessible.

This year, Udaipur has witnessed a substantial influx of tourists, with hundreds of thousands visiting each month. The city's economy heavily relies on tourism, with the prime season typically commencing after October or during Navratri, extending until February or March. During these four to five months, hotels, restaurants, tour guides, and others involved in the tourism sector generate the majority of their annual revenue.

The flow of tourists begins during Navratri, with travelers arriving from cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and various South Indian cities. Subsequently, during Diwali, Udaipur becomes a hub of activity, especially with the arrival of Gujarati tourists. So far this year, Udaipur has welcomed a record number of tourists every month, marking the highest figures in over a decade. Given this trend, there are high expectations for a record-breaking number of tourists to flock to the city during the upcoming season.
