Udaipur Ranks High Among Top Travel Destinations for October
Online travel portal MakeMyTrip has released its list of the top 50 travel destinations in India for October. Udaipur ranks 14th on the list, highlighting its popularity among tourists. Jaipur leads among Rajasthan cities at 3rd place, followed by Jodhpur at 9th, Udaipur at 14th, Pushkar at 18th, Jaisalmer at 37th, and Ranthambore at 42nd.
Udaipur is described as a city located on Lake Pichola's shores, with the Aravalli hills as its backdrop. The city is renowned for its centuries-old heritage, grand palaces, temples, and beautiful lakes. Key attractions include City Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari, Fateh Sagar Lake, Lake Pichola, Gulab Bagh, Sajjangarh Fort, and Jaisamand Lake.
The tourism season is set to begin on September 27, coinciding with World Tourism Day. This will mark the start of the peak travel season, drawing millions of domestic and international tourists.
Recently, Udaipur was named the top city for weddings in India in December by the online travel portal Outlook in its "OT Wedding Wednesday" series. The list also featured Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. The tourism industry and department are optimistic that these accolades will boost Udaipur's appeal to tourists.
