This is good news for the railway passengers as Udaipur is anticipated to get the service of Semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express, in this year 2023. The train will run from Udaipur to Jaipur (Durgapura). While another Vande Bharat Express from Udaipur to Bandra via Ahmedabad is likely to be operational by mid-2024.

Vande Bharat Express will be operational from Udaipur to Jaipur via Kota, Sawai Madhopur. This will be beneficial for the tourists as it will connect Udaipur, Sawai Madhopur and Jaipur cities which are tourist hub.  

Expected Timings and Schedule of the train:

Vande Bharat Express will run everyday from 5:55 am and will reach Mavli at 6:27, Chanderiya at 7:22, Bundi at 8:55, Kota at 9:23 in morning, 10:25 at Sawai Madhopur in morning, 11:13 at Niwai and 12:10 at Durgapur (Jaipur). 

Similarly, leaving Durgapura (Jaipur) at 3:45 am (15:45 pm), Niwai at 4:23 pm (16:23 pm), Sawai Madhopur at 5:05 pm (17:05 pm), 6:10 pm (18:10) at Kota, Bundi at 6:43 (18:43), Chanderiya at 8:20 (16:20), Mavli at 9:15 (21:15) and 10:00 ( 22:00) will reach at Udaipur. 

Rajasthan's first semi-high speed train Vande Bharat started from April 12, 2023 which was flagged off by the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ajmer to Delhi Vande Bharat operates six days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from Delhi at 6:10 pm (18:10). The journey of 442 kilometers is being completed by this train in 6 hours 5 minutes. The train also has the facility of tea-coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner which will be available on the train ticket.
