Winter Knocks, Mt Abu at 9.2°C
Snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir sends a chill across Rajasthan
Udaipur, November 16, 2024 - Udaipur is finally seeing the onset of winter as daytime temperatures are seeing a gradual decrease and nights are getting cooler quite rapidly. In the past 10 days, minimum temperature has seen a fall by 2.7 degrees while the daytime temperature has fallen by about 3 degrees.
Yesterday, the night-time temperature in the city was recorded at 14.4°C, while the daytime temperature stood at 30°C.
This sudden onset of the chill is because of snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh. According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures across Rajasthan are likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees in the next five days. Nights have gone below 15°C in eight cities of the state with the lowest temperature recorded in Mount Abu at 9.2°C.
Karauli was at 14.5°C, Fatehpur at 13.1°C, Sirohi at 12.1°C, Anta Baran at 14.7°C, Dabok at 14.4°C, Sikar at 13°C, Bhilwara at 14.4°C, and Jaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 18°C.
