Onset of Winter in State Delayed

Daytime temperatures in city averages at 29.8°C; nights still 1°C higher than November average of 13°C

Udaipur, November 6, 2024 – According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, daytime temperatures in the State are likely to remain above average owing to the clear skies. There does not seem any likelihood of a western disturbance occurring in the next few days. Hence, days will continue to be warm for the next 10 days before the temperatures start to drop.

Weather experts say that the onset of cold in the plains will depend on rain or snowfall in the northern parts of the country. Once cold winds start to come from that region, it will get cooler in the plains, too.

The night-time temperature in the city is still 1°C higher than the average of 13°C for November. The average daytime temperature is 29.8°C. Yesterday, Udaipur recorded rise of maximum temperature by 0.1°C to 33.3°C, while the minimum temperature decreased by 1.2°C to 14°C.

In the past week, the city has seen the maximum temperature fluctuating between 33.2°C and 34.1°C, which is about 4°C above normal. While the minimum temperature has been close to normal, the nights feel cooler. At Dabok, the daytime temperature was 32.9°C, and night-time temperature was 17.2°C.
