Rain Improves Udaipur AQI; City Sees Coldest October Day in 10 Years
Four days of rain bring fresh air, foggy mornings, and the coldest October day in a decade
Udaipur, Oct 31, 2025 – Udaipur remained the coldest city in Rajasthan for the second straight day. For the first time in the past 10 years, October daytime temperature plunged to 22.2°C — compared to the normal average of 33.4°C, a drop of 11.2°C. The night temperature went up slightly by 1.9°C to 20.2°C. Humidity remains high at 100%.
Rain continues in several regions of Vagad-Mewar and Rajasthan. Udaipur has experienced constant rain for the past five days and forecasts indicate four more days of similar weather. Yesterday, by 5:00 pm, Udaipur had received 5 mm rainfall in 24 hours, while Dabok recorded 6.7 mm. Lakes in the district are filled to the brim with Sisarma river flowing at three feet.
On another note though, the rainfall in the last few days of this month has positively impacted Udaipur’s AQI. The city’s air, which deteriorated after Diwali, has returned to a healthy level owing to the rain. On October 26, Udaipur’s AQI was 118 and after four days of rain the AQI improved with the figure at 50 on Thursday. On Diwali, the AQI had shot up to 361.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts the rainfall pattern to continue in Udaipur and Kota divisions for the next four days. Some parts of the State may go on to receive rain in the first week of November, with above-normal rainfall expected in southeastern Rajasthan. Weather is likely to clear after November 5.
