Udaipur Records Coldest Day in State as Rain Brings Early Winter Chill
IMD forecasts continued showers and cloud cover for next 4–5 days
Udaipur, Oct 30, 2025 – With heavy rainfall these past few days because of the western disturbance, the temperatures have suddenly dropped giving indication of the onset of winter. In the past three days, the minimum temperature dropped by nearly 3 degrees. Fog and a light cold breeze can be felt in the mornings and evenings. Clouds covered the sky throughout of yesterday and the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.1°C, making it the coldest night of the season. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature was 22.2°C.
The day remained not only 11.2 degrees below normal but also the coldest in the entire State. Despite a 2-degree rise in the last 24 hours, the temperature could not go above 22.2°C. Even lower than average December–January temperatures, which are normally 26°C and 24.5°C respectively.
By 5:00 pm, the city had recorded 10 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. Additionally, 10 mm was recorded at Swarup Sagar, 8 mm each at Madar, Nai, and Alsigarh, 3 mm in Gogunda, 2 mm in Jhadol, 3 mm in Ogna, 5 mm in Bagolia, 3 mm in Mavli, 4 mm in Udai Sagar and 5 mm in Vallabhnagar.
The Met office has forecast continuation of light to moderate rainfall in Udaipur, Kota division and nearby districts for 4–5 days, along with cloud cover. In most other regions, the weather will remain mostly dry from October 31 for the next 3–4 days.
