MLSU has begun inviting applications for various courses that will be run at the CETT for the year 2016-17. The newly established Centre for Excellence in Tourism Training (CETT), began functioning recently, after being inaugurated in the presence of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsein Loong last week.
Dean CETT informed that 40 seats are available for the one year long Travel and Tourism Services course; 50 seats for the one year Hospitality Operations (Front Office) course; 80 seats in the Food and Travel Services course that is again for an year; 120 seats for the one year course on Hospitality Operations (House Keeping) and 40 seats are available for the one year course on Western Culinary Art.
He said that the minimum qualification required for the courses is High School Certification and the applicant should be above 14 years of age, further adding that Reservations and scholarships for the seats will be according to the regulations of the State of Rajasthan.
Dean CETT also informed that the selection process will be spread over two phases, with the first phase being held on 14th October and the second on 21st October. The application forms are available for Rs. 100/- and the cost of the course will be Rs. 15,000/- irrespective of the course taken. Applications can be downloaded from the MLSU website, else can be obtained on paying the sum of Rs. 100/- from the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at CETT Campus at MLSU from 10AM till 5PM with immediate effect.
