Auditions for an open solo dance competition, “Udaan” were held for the second consecutive day today.

“Udaan” is being organized by Purple Planet Events Pvt Ltd., and the event will be held on 20th May.

Around 60 candidates turned up for the audition this afternoon and showcased their dancing talent on the 2^nd day of this 3 day audition at the Vigyan Samiti, Ashok Nagar.

Todays audition started at 2:30pm, in which participants in the age group of 18-24 yrs gave their individual performance. All selected candidates will be performing in the grand finale on 20^th May.

The audition was anchored by Panil Pokharna and Parikrama, while the other logistics were managed by the dedicated team of Purple Planet, which included Shaleen Mehta, Shilpa Metha, Amit Munat, Nidhi Goyal, Arpit Jain, Yuvraj Chouhan, Palak Bhandari and Gaurav.

The judges for the audition are Yathat Verma, Director, Meera Kala Mandir, Mrs. Vijay Laxmi Galundia, a choreographer from the past 20 yrs and Secretary of Mahaveer Yuva Sansthan (Women) and Mrs. Nidhi Sharma, professional choreographer from the past 15 yrs.

According to Panil Pokharna, Director, Purple Planet Purple Planet Events Pvt Ltd, the audition process will continue on 13^th May from 2.30 pm onwards, in which audition of the registered candidates will be taken. He also informed that interested candidates will be registered on the spot as well.

He added that list of all selected dancers will be declared on 14^th May and they will go on to compete in the Grand Finale that will be held at Rang Manch, Town Hall, where the final winners will be awarded with cash prizes.
