A 'Sailing Expedition Camp' by Udaipur N.C.C is going on at Jaisamand Lake from 20th to 29th February 2012.

In this largest man-made lake, which is about 14 kms long and 8 kms wide, the N.C.C cadets are being trained to cope with the extreme busy day situations on the shore.

In this largest man-made lake, which is about 14 kms long and 8 kms wide, the N.C.C cadets are being trained to cope with the extreme busy day situations on the shore. The training starts with early morning warm-up, and then from 9 am to 12.30 pm, the cadets go through the training of Sailing and Boat Pulling. Then after the mid-day meal, the subjects such as Seamanship, Boat Rigging and Tent Pitching etc. are taught to the cadets. And to end the day, various cultural activities are organised. And some time the cadets are allotted time to study their academic subjects. Camp Chief Captain, Sanjeev Kapoor informed that, “There are total 58 cadets involved in this training including 5 girl candidates, 1 trainer and officers from Rajasthan Naval Unit of Udaipur, Ajmer and Jaipur.” Group Commander, Colonel I.S.
