Various activities related to the importance of Traffic Rules will be observed during the 25th Traffic Awareness that began today in Udaipur.
The week started with a Rally that was flagged off from Udiapol. The Rally passed through Surajpol, Bapu Bazaar, Delhi Gate, Court Circle, Ashwani Bazaar, Hathipol, etc educating people on the importance of Traffic Rules through Banners and Posters.
The Rally was flagged off by the Joint Commissioner of Transport, Jagdish Parasd along with the DSP Traffic, Rajendra Tripathi. Representatives from various NGOs and Two Wheeler Dealers of Udaipur also participated in the Rally.
DSP Tripathi also informed that this year they will focus on educating school students about correct traffic rules through slogans. He said that they will emphasis on constructive Traffic rules awareness, rather than punishing the people by penalizing them or by imposing huge Chalans, which will motivate them to follow Traffic rules by themselves.
In this series of activities, the Traffic police will be seen with Slogans, Banners and Posters with them on the various Chourahas of the city. These banners will exhibit previously occurred road mishaps that occurred due to negligence of Traffic rules and through this they will realize in such a way that these mishap will not happen in future.
Adding more about the awareness week, Joint Commissioner of Transport Jagdish Prasad said that they will involve many NGOs and local Associations of the city to spread the message to follow correct Traffic rules and for this Exhibitions will also be held at various places during this week.
