You need to check your speed at the earliest. If you are in the habit of over-speeding at the highway, you might have to suffer the consequences. There will be several cameras watching you at the highway and if caught over-speeding, there will be strict action against you.
Jaipur-Bhilwara-Udaipur highway will have speed-radars installed in the coming times. Government has given approval and even sanctioned a budget for this proposal of Rajasthan police. The national highway will have cameras at 18 points which will cover a distance of 400 kilometres. The installation work will be completed in 2 stages. The first stage of installation will cover Jaipur-Bhilwara route and the 2nd stage will cover Bhilwara-Udaipur route. The entire project will attract a budget of almost 17 crores.
There will be 3 cameras at the over head panel. The 2nd panel will be installed at a distance of 1 kilometre. The speed of the vehicle will be measured between these 2 panels. If any vehicle has crossed the prescribed speed limit, a challan will immediately be generated. All cameras will be watched by local police. The challans will be sent to the registered address of the vehicle owner.
Initially police had proposed 10 cameras between Jaipur and Bhilwara. The step received encouragement and was thence extended to Udaipur route. So if you think highway is the place for speeding up your machine, think twice.(image is for illustration only)
