The Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti (MPSS) organized a celebration today near the statue of Patriot Warrior Bheelu Rana at the Moti Magri park on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Rana Punja.
Yudhveer Singh Shaktawat, Secretary, MPSS informed that the entire Bheelu Rana Park of Moti Magri was decorated for this event. Officials of the Rana Punja Bheeek Jayanti Samaroh Samiti, Kshatriya Mahasabha and all employees were present for the garlanding of the statue, which was accompanied by a musical presentation.
Rana Punja Bheel was born at Merpur in the family of Dunha Holika. After the demise of his father, he was appointed as the head of Merpur at the young age of 15 years. After few years, he became the King of Bhomat, facilitating his fame in the whole Mewar region.
In 1576, when Maharana Pratap asked for the help of Rana Punja, he promised to support him for the pride of Mewar. He used Gurilla-Techniques of War, keeping the Mughals for many years and through this stamped himself as the patriot warrior of Mewar.

On the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Maharana Punja, Alok Vision Films & Alok Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd. unveiled the movie poster of Maharana Pratap: The First Freedom Fighter.
Various dignitaries including Balusingh Kanawat, President, Kshatriya Mahasabha; Tej Singh Bansi, Manohar Singh Krishnawat , Patron; Narayan Singh Sisodia, Lead Actor; Shakti Singh Karoi, Rajendra Singh Shaktawat, Randhir Singh Chandel and others were present in the inauguration ceremony.
