Black Buck poaching case took the nation by storm. On Monday, prosecution read out the statements of 2 witnesses in this case.
Statements of witnesses Shera Ram and Mangi Lal were read out in the court in Jodhpur on Monday. Regarding the Black Buck poaching incident, the two witnesses in their statement said that they heard gunshots in Kankani. When they reached the site from where the sound of gunshot came, they saw that actor Salman Khan was speeding away in Maruti Gypsy and had a gun in his hand. Due to shortage of time, the next hearing was postponed to Tuesday.
The statement read as follows:
“We heard the sound of gunshot when hunting was going on in Kankani. Hearing the gunshot, we rushed to the place. Upon reaching the site we saw that Poonamchand and Chogaram were already present there. We also saw that Salman Khan had a gun in his hand and he was running away in Gypsy. There were 7 other people in the Gypsy. Three actresses were among these 7 people.”
It may be noted that prior to these statements, prosecution had read out the statements of Harish, Chogaram and Arun Yadav. Along with actor Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabbu and Sonali Bendre are also accused in this Black Buck poaching case which dates back to 1998. Salman Khan had pleaded innocence saying that he was ‘falsely implicated’, testifying in the presence of co-stars Saif, Tabbu, Neelam and Sonali.
