Udaipur cannot afford Facebook driven Riots

Any religiously inclined person, regardless of which religion he belongs to, cannot be the propagator of terror and violence. Then why do rioters, be them from any community think that they are the only flag bearers and saviors of their religion?

Attacking innocent men, women and children is strictly prohibited in any religion of the world.  Why then, is humanity always humiliated by people in the name of religion?

The recent violence in Udaipur was an absolutely exaggerated reaction of a religious malice posted on a social networking site Facebook, where more than 500 million people of the world actively participate in sharing information and thoughts (both good and bad) openly and freely.

Results of the Fight – some innocents are lying on hospital beds and some innocents have been put in Jail. The real culprit is snickering in some hidden dungeon or maybe even openly whereas we, the common men are counting indifferences.

If a mere two lines of words posted by an unknown person can smash our ages old bonding, then it is the biggest disgrace.

Udaipur is forever known as a small and beautiful city of lakes where people from various communities indulge majorly in tourism related businesses, which cannot afford communal tensions and religious differences. Most of the city’s population hardly visits Facebook or any other social networking site, although everyone has partial knowledge of it.

Since years, both Hindus and Muslims apart from other communities have added equal value to the development of Udaipur.  They lived together, laughed together and turned up to support each other in good or bad times.

Time has changed; technology is rapidly taking up social and religious notions. The need of this hour is to overpower technology and understand it before being exploited by its disposition.

Facebook is not bad, but use it cautiously. It is not a place where you can find all good and entertaining, so be prepared for the bad and IGNORE it, because that’s the only best thing we can do.

There is no easy way to remove any malicious and objectionable posts from Facebook without the consent of Facebook administration, which is headquartered in the U.S and their India office is situated in Hyderabad.

Staging a dharna and violent protest won’t be much helpful to remove objectionable content from Facebook because Facebook owners are far and unfamiliar from local issues resulting from their popular website.
