The Udaipur Municipal Corportation in its initiative of safe Diwali is been accommodating temporary cracker market. In this season UMC have proposed these markets to be installed at three localities, for the same auctions was organised at corporation generating income of nearly Rs.31 lac.

The Udaipur Municipal Corporation in its initiative of safe Diwali is been accommodating temporary cracker market. In this season UMC have proposed these markets to be installed at three localities, for the same auctions was organised at corporation generating income of nearly Rs.31 lac.

Today, auction proposed for Luv Kush Stadium, C.A Circle and Pooja Nagar was organised. In these localities all types of firework goods would be sold. The initiative will minimize chances of mishap as high amount of explosives are burnt over the festive season.

According to Durgesh Sharma, President, Finance Committee, ”Alike every year a common market would be accommodated by UMC. In past few years this market was installed at Luv Kush Stadium only, but this year two more places have been added into the facility.”

Durgesh Sharma informed that set of 25 shops each at all three localities has been auctioned. The auction has generated an income of Rs.31 lac. The applicants were invited after issuing an entry form which was sold at Rs.200 per form. While the income from auction is Rs.21 lac and balance was received by selling form.

Durgesh Sharma also added that the entry form were chargeable. The market area will be equipped with a fire fighting vehicle, so that in case of mishap prompt action could be applied.
