Udaipur, January 30, 2025 - The Udaipur Urban Co-operative Bank Limited (UUCB) has won the Banco Blue Ribbon award for the Best Citizen Co-operative Bank at the national level in the Rs 750-850 crore deposit category for the year 2023-24.

Banco, the national-level magazine which publishes compilations of circulars issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for banking in the co-operative sector, organises this annual award to honour citizen co-operative banks across the country based on their performance and progress.

This year, the Banco Blue Ribbon Award 2024 ceremony was held from January 27 to 29, 2025, at Ambey Valley, Lonavala, Maharashtra. The Chief Guest of the event was Bhargeshwar Banerjee, retired chief General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai.

UUCB was represented at the award ceremony by board chairman Tauseef Hussain. Also present were Chief Executive Officer Sameena Banu Mehmuda, directors Khurshid Ali, Shiv Narayan Agal, Shankar Lal Pancholi, Sabiha Zari Luqmani, Zarina Iqbal and Fatima Baroodwala.

CEO Samina said that many citizen co-operative banks from across the country had applied for this award but UUCB bagged the top award and was declared the Best Citizen Co-operative Bank in the country.

Chairman Tauseef added that the interest rates for loans such as home loans, small industries loans, and vehicle loans provided by UUCB are lower compared to other banks. The bank was always quick to adopt new technology in banking, launch new services at low cost and make them accessible to customers.
