Over 4Lac Pensioners in the State of Rajasthan will see relief coming their way after the State Government has made positive amendments in the Pensioners Medical Policy.

One of the major changes has been that Pensioners will now get a grant of Rs. 1.10Lac towards Knee Surgery expenses.  This amount has been doubled from the earlier grant of Rs. 55,000.

Udaipur District has over 20,000 Pensioners who will be benefited from this announcement among the other announcements that were made.  There has been a long standing demand for improvements and better medical facilities for Pensioners.  This grant is valid for each Knee operation.

Other Amendments:

1. Treatment can be immediately taken up from any of the em-paneled Private Hospitals – this was earlier restricted to Government Hospitals only
2. Pensioners taking a Permanent Allowance instead of maintaining Pensioners diary will get Permanent Allowance for In Patient Hospitalisation also – this was earlier restricted to Out Patient facilities only
3. Private Medical Stores will be em-paneled by Collectors in those towns that do not have a registered Medical store accepting Pensioner diary
4. Rs. 15 Crore revolving Fund provided to Treasury for easing fund facilitation
