Eid celebrations continued over the last week, albeit concluding with the Eid Milan event organised by the Smart Bohra group, a local chapter within the Dawoodi Bohra community.

Hathipol being a favorite and oft visited destination amidst the community, was augmented by Arvana being the event partner for the program.

The Eid Milan program was an open event and was held on the 2nd of July from 2-7pm.  In all 15 stalls were set up at the venue, with the vendors in Arvana also participating in the event.  Free distribution of food samples and pamphlets describing the goods on offer were given to all those who attended the event.

Local Amil of the Dawoodi Bohra Shia’a community, Sh. Qaid Johar Ujjainwala gave his blessings to those present at the event.   He also personally oversaw the lucky draw and gave away the prizes, which included a 40″ LED TV as the first prize, and electric geyser as the second prize, a room coolers as the third prize, a dinner set as the fourth prize and 21 consolations prizes.

Throngs of visitors lined the venue and participated in a plethora of activities ranging from food to luck draws, with entertainment programs including a fancy dress competition thrown in to make the event more inclusive and interesting for those visiting Arvana, the one stop shiopping destination at the city of lakes.

Spokesperson for the Smart Bohra Group, in his address to the media said that the response to the event was overwhelming, setting the stage and need for more such events in the near future, with select stalls and services to ensure that the visitors get all the fun and fare that the expect at such events.  Hasan Paliwala of Arvana said that more such events and a plethora of interesting programs have been designed, information of which can be taken from https://m.facebook.com/ArvanaOfficial/.
