A nine day celebration will be organized on the occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti which is on 13th April. The auspicious festival will begin with Virat Kavi Sammelan and end with a mass procession.

A nine day celebration will be organized on the occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti which is on 13th April. The auspicious festival will begin with Virat Kavi Sammelan and end with a mass procession.

The event will start from 5th April and continue till 13th April. Many organizations took the responsibility to make the occasion successful.

Rajkumar Fattawat, coordinator of Jain Parishad informed that a Kavi Sammelan will be held on 5th April at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal. The program is organized by Jain Jagriti Center.

Fattawat informed, “On the occasion of 2613th Birth Anniversary of Lord Mahaveer, a mass procession will be carried out in the city on 13th April. The procession will start from Nagar Nigam compound.”

Mahendra Talesra of Jain Jagriti Center informed that many prominent poets like Ashok Chakradhar, Manveer Madhur, Dinesh Deshi Ghee, Sanjay Khatri Kaladhan, Sardar Wahe Guru Bhatia will present their poems.

71 academically talented students will get awarded with ‘Vidyashree’ in a program on 6th April at Vigyan Samiti auditorium, Ashok Nagar.

On 7th April, the community members will distribute fruits and snacks to the patients hospitalized in MB Hospital. Bapubazar Jain Vyvasay Sangh will coordinate this program.

Dr. Subhash Kothari informed that on 8th April, a seminar based on Lord Mahaveer’s principal is organized at Vigyan Samiti Ashok Nagar. The keynote speaker will be Professor Veersagar from New Delhi.

Other programs include, Maha Aarti by Women’s branch of Mahaveer Jain Parishad on 9th April, Mehandi competition on 10th April at Naiyon ki Talai, Terapanth Bhavan, cultural event for females on 11th April at Nagar Nigam and musical event on 12th April.
