RNT Alumni 1966 Batch Golden Jubilee Year

Sixth Batch of RNT Medical College, Udaipur, which entered the allowed portals of their alma mater in July 1966 is celebrating the year 2016 as their Golden Jubilee Year.  The batch consisting of 150 students (133 boys and 27 girls) in their late teens were admitted to the third Medical College opened in Rajasthan in 1961 to take up Medical Profession as their future career.

The strong bond that developed over 54 months of rigorous pursuit was instrumental in an initiative by a few batch mates to bring the old class mates together.  A concerted effort by Dr (Major) Khurshid Azeem, Dr (Brig) CP Joshi, Dr KB Ameta, Dr. Ranjana Sharma, Dr. CK Nagar, Dr TK Bhandari and many more friends resulted in tracing the contact details of their erstwhile batch mates after a long gap of 50 years.  Social Media services like WhatsApp, Facebook and Mobile contacts resulted in coming together of 110 old boys and girls, in their late sixties, and grand parents all of them.  Some 15 or so in the group could not be traced (though the efforts are still on) and sadly the batch mates learnt that the Medical Profession took a toll of 25 of their friends who left for their heavenly abode (16.5% being a high attrition rate).
