Today, 7 December 2018, will be etched forever in the minds and hearts of those associated with Narayan Seva Sansthan, the workers, the management committee and of course the children and families who are receiving treatment and rehabilitation at Narayan Seva Sansthan.

As reported by UT earlier, the Ambani-Piramal Pre-Wedding ceremony will be highlighted by the families celebrating the occasion with the destitute, needy and homeless of Udaipur.  This sequence commenced today with the families visiting the Narayan Seva Sansthan, Thur, Udaipur, and spending the entire evening with the children and family of Narayan Seva.

With Anant Ambani being the first to arrive at 4:30pm, he was welcomed by Prashant Agrawal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan and Kailash Chandra Agrawal “Manav” as he is fondly called, the Founder Chairman of Narayan Seva Sansthan and the man with the vision that is Narayan Seva Sansthan.

Anant was taken around the premises, shown the display stores of products created by the children of NSS and also spoke to a few children at the Sansthan.

Arrival of the other members of the family, Mukesh Ambani, Neeta Ambani, Isha Ambani – the bride, Anand Piramal – the groom, Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal got the entire assembly of staff, families and children at NSS witnessing an event that they would not have fathomed.

Neeta Ambani, who heads the Reliance Foundation, mesmerized all and sundry by the way she went around meeting and greeting those present at the NSS premises.  Her passion for social communication was all to apparent in the manner she dominated the interaction and communicated with the children at NSS.  Mukesh Ambani, Ajay Piramal, Swati Piramal, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal went around the campus meeting and greeting everyone, and this was followed by a sumptuous dinner for all the children of the campus.

“मुझे यहाँ आ कर बहुत सुकून मिला, बहुत अच्छा लगा. आप जब भी हमें याद करेंगे, हम आप कि सेवा में हाज़िर रहेंगे. (It was a pleasure being with you all and I felt a sense of fulfillment on coming here. At any point in the future, when you need us, we will at your service”), said Mukesh Ambani, in his address to those present at Narayna Seva Sansthan.

The message was very clear, a humble family at the top echelons of their professions, understood social participation and inclusiveness. As said by Mukesh Ambani some years ago, in his interview to the Times of India, “the purpose of Reliance is to first create societal value, then create customer value, then create employee value and then create sustainable shareholder value”.  The emphasis of the Ambani – Piramal family on social inclusiveness is apparent.

The meeting and communication with those present at the NSS was followed by a feast for the children.  Food  was served by each member of the family and they went around each table and served eatables to the children, making it an evening to remember.

Isha and Anand, the bride and groom were absolutely selfless in their participation and serving food to the children and elders at the open garden, looking overjoyed with the opportunity made available to them.

Mukesh Ambani, Ajay Piramal, Swati Piramal, Anant Ambani, Neeta Ambani, all went head over heels in ensuring that each gets a chance to serve food to the children, who looked overjoyed at the attention being given to them.

Even after the first round of serving was over, Neeta Ambani made it a point to go to each child and coax them to eat and ask for more.  She would then call out to the serving hands to attend to the children.

Neeta Ambani also spoke in sign language to a mute and deaf child, much to the kids surprise and all those watching the sequence.
