Citizens of Udaipur will hopefully get a respite from the messy state of road by Diwali. UMC has given an assurance towards this in Local Court.
Rajesh Waseeta and others had filed a petition in Local court against UMC commissioner raising concern about the pathetic state of roads in Udaipur. UMC submitted a response towards this on Monday and said that Rs 15 Crore has already been cleared for repair and reconstruction of roads under Chief Minister scheme. As part of this work order has already been issued in two phases. As part of this patch work has also been initiated in different sections.

UMC informed that road repair work at Dorenagar, Subhashnagar, Bhupalpura main road, UMC commissioner’s office to UIT bridge to Sahelinagar has already been completed. Repair work in rest of areas is also set to be completed by Diwali.
