Coach Dilip Singh Chauhan has been appointed as Dragon Boat team Manager for the 18th Asian Games. Coach Dilip Singh will be managing Women’s Dragon Boat team.
Dilip Singh Chauhan is the man behind the beginning of water sports in Udaipur. He is presently coach for kayaking, canoeing and dragon boat. Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Union have appointed Dilip Singh as the manager of Dragon Boat women’s team. The team is taking part in Asian Games for which purpose the team is leaving for Indonesia with Coach Dilip Singh.
The team will participate in 200 and 500 metre Dragon Boat championship on 25th, 26th and 27th August. Prior to this, Coach Dilip Singh has guided Indian Dragon Boat team 4 times and the teams have displayed exemplary performances and bagged 5 medals in the championships.
Coach informed that the team has been rehearsing in Bhopal for the Dragon Boat championships since last 2 months. He is confident that the team will win in all the events. It may be noted that Coach Dilip Singh Chauhan started water sports in Udaipur in 2012 and a national level competition took place in Udaipur in 2017.
