In a shocking incident, a 10 year old girl suffering from a mental illness committed suicide today at her home located in Udaipur’s Goverdhann Vilas area. For the past few years,  Preet, daughter of Tej Singh Thapaa who is a rickshaw driver, was suffering from a mental illness. Today after her father left for his daily work, Preet locked her room from the inside and hung herself from the fan. The victim’s mother was reportedly in the lawn working when she realized that she had not seen her daughter outside for some time. When she reached the room however, she found it locked from the inside. So, she approached her neighbors who saw from the window of her room that the girl had hung herself. The police was informed of the incident and soon arrived at the scene. They took the victim’s body to M.B. Hospital for postmortem after which it was given back to her family members.
