The anti-human trafficking squad rescued 35 children from 6 different buses. The children were being taken to Gujarat to work in saree factory. The children are aged between 10 and 16 years.

Police got information that some children were being taken to work as labour in Surat. They did not have any agent with them but the agents were in touch with each other through phones and were passing on every information to each other. They adopted this process so that the children in the buses do not seem suspicious. They also thought that this way police will not  come to know of the child labour being sent to Gujarat.

Police acted quite smartly in this matter. When they got the nformation of this, 2 constables boarded one of the buses and then stopped the buses at the highway. The children were taken in the buses of Rajguru travels, Arihant travels, Madrecha travels and Ghateshwari travels. The police officers reached after the buses were stopped at the highway. The administrative officials took the bus to Baleecha crossing and screened the children in the buses. There were around 50 children, 35 of which were child labours. 

Apart from this 6 other children were rescued from restaurants in Shobhagpura and Sukher areas and were sent to shelter homes. Cases have been registered against the restaurant owners.
