Udaipur,04.1.24 - The newly appointed Cabinet Minister Babu Lal Kharadi from Udaipur received a death threat on WhatsApp on Wednesday accused has been detained by the police but later released by the police as he was a minor boy.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when the accused posted a message in a WhatsApp group and threaten the minister Kharadi saying that he should not go to one of the religious place of Kotra village on Thursday else he have bare dire consequences.

He also allegedly used abusive language against the Minister in the said message .

He immediately informed the Kotra police about the incident following which a report was lodged and the accused was detained on Thursday.

Kharadi while talking  said " I do not have any issue with the boy as he is a minor, i just want that it should be confirmed that whether he was motivated by some one or it was really a mistake ".

Station House Officer Kotra Ashok Kumar Singh said" It was a 16 year old boy who was detained for posting the a message against the minister Babu Lal Kharadi, he said that he posted the message in the WhatsApp group by mistake and do not have any intension to cause any harm to Kharadi. He was questioned, instructed not to repeat such mistake in future and later released ".
