Readers might remember the triple chain snatching incident that took place on Mahashivrati day in Udaipur when chain snatchers snatched chains from Kharol Colony, Goverdhan Vilas Sector -13 and Kohinoor appartments Bedla road. Police has finally solved the case and nabbed the gang members behind the incidences.

As per information received, the case was solved by Chittorgarh police. On the basis of cctv footage of the incidences, police went to Haryana and Delhi for investigation. It is in Chandigarh that police found similar footages and the modus operandi of the crime was also similar. Basis this, Police went to Uttar Pradesh and nabbed Deepak Bavriya from Shamli District.

Explaining the modus operandi of the gang, Police said, “Gang members would first take a hotel room on rent. Then they would go around the city in night and carry out a reconnaissance. Then, under pretext of asking address/other details from victims, they would start a conversation and eventually snatch gold chain from the ladies and speed off”.

Police has also nabbed Deepak’s partners in crime from Chittorgarh, Ajmer and Udaipur.
