The clash erupted between villagers of Haled Village (Bhilwara District) and people of dalit community. Ganga Parmar, President of Ambedkar Congress was injured, along with 13 others. 13 people with 2 women have been reportedly arrested.

Renu, a resident of Haled Village, had invited President Ganga Parmar with 13 other people from Chittor-Pratapgarh, to participate in Ambedkar Jayanti program.

At first there was a meeting held at a pond-side. After meeting, the mob reached Bada Mandir (Temple), where these Dalits tried to enter into the temple. But the villagers did not let them enter into the temple. Which kicked up the fuss and resulted into a skirmish.

Around half a dozen policemen could not control the situation, hence, Ganga Parmar with her Husband and 5 other people got injured. All injured were admitted to M.G. Hospital in Bhilwara.

Collector Omkar Singh, Umesh Chandra Dutta (Police Superintendent), Ujjwal Rathore (A.D.M), Yogesh Yadav (Assitant Police Superintendent), Rajkumar Kaswa (Sub SUprintendent) and Rajkumar (Sub-section Officer), reached the spot.

Situation has become tensed. Both parties (Villagers & Dalits) are accusing each other.

Keeping the safety of the city in mind,  security has been tightened. Valmiki Samaj has announced the “Bandh” for 16th April in the city.
