An employee of petrol pump and an owner of a chicken centre were cheated in span of less than one hour by an unidentified man who bluffed the pump employee near Ashoka Cinema to give him change money and took away motorcycle of a shopkeeper who is owner of a chicken shop at Surajpol Meat Market. Story in Detail Scene 1 Conman bluffed two in the CityIn morning somewhere between 9 to 10 AM one man came to Suresh Kumar Asnani’s ( in photo) shop A.K Fish and Chicken Center at Surajpol meat market and asked for 20kg chicken. Suresh was not there though his employees entertained this “big customer” with tea etc. The customer showed his interest to buy another 50 kg chicken the next day. The happy and excited employees came under the trap. In a few minutes that customer asked one of the worker to arrange him a bike as he needed to buy some packing material by the time he asked others to continue their work. Shop employee arranged him a bike and also accompanied him to the market then the alleged suspect asked the employee to take him to a petrol pump as he wanted to buy vehicle lubricant. The boy did the same and took him to a petrol pump opposite Ashoka Cinema. Scene 2 Conman bluffed two in the CityAs the suspect reached petrol pump he asked for lubricant and started talking casually with pump man. He insisted to give him change of 50-60 thousand rupees. He told him that as he is a contractor, he has to pay his laborers’. Pump man Om Prakash ( in photo) took it normally as many people ask for change at petrol pump. He took the suspect inside the office and started counting money. He was counting and writing it for note, totaling to Rs.32000. By the time suspect had already put the money inside his pocket. Om Prakash told him that he had only this much, though suspect insisted to get him more, even notes of Rs. 10 -50 would do. So Om Prakash took out a few more thousands rupees all in Rs. 10 notes and gave him. Scene 3 Suspect got a call on his mobile phone and he asked the boy accompanying him to count the rest of the money in denomination ofRs.10 notes and went out of the pump office. He finished talking on phone and told the pump man that he is coming back by the time his man is counting the rest of money. Final Scene Both pump man and the guy working at chicken shop were left confused when the conman never returned back. Worried Om Prakash asked the guy about that man and he said ,”this man has ordered chicken from our shop; I just came with him to buy him some packing material”. Both of them rushed to Mewar Motor link road to find suspect’s house as hehad told the shopkeeper but nothing was found there, then both returned to the chicken shop and narrated the story. Nirbhay Singh, Duty Officer at Surajpol Thana has confirmed the incident and they have started investigation. “We did nakabandi all over the district and trying to nab him”, says the officer. According to Om Prakash, the pump man, the accused was about30-35 years n age and looking like an outsider. Report by Sayeed Ahmed
