One more culprit has been arrested for kidnapping  businessman on Monday. Ahmedabad based businessman was abducted in broad daylight from Udaipole. The incident happened just 200 metres away from Traffic police station.

Police arrested Shahid s/o Salim Mansuri resident of Paloda, Banswara and Abhishek Paliwal s/o Omprakash Paliwal resident of Nada Khada Udaipur on Monday itself. The third arrest was that of Manoj Bharti of Paloda, Banswara on Tuesday.

DSP Bhagwat Singh Hinger said that Shahid had filed a case against this businessman for a transaction of 10 lakh rupees in Gadhi police station. The investigation revealed that Shahid had no documents to support his allegations. Police gave their final report in this matter in the absence of supporting documents. After this Shahid went to Nava Naroda, where this businessman lived, to take back this money. He had to leave without money as neighbours gathered around the businessman’s house.

Then he planned the kidnapping with his friends. They decided to force the businessman to sign a stamp paper in Banswara which would suffice as relevant document for transaction of 10 lakh rupees.

After they had kidnapped this man, they started getting calls from their families saying that their video of kidnapping had gone viral and police were on the lookout for them. This scared them and one of the friends got down at Paloda. The other two tried to escape but were nabbed by police.

The three kidnappers snatched 6000 rupees from the businessman. They used 2000 rupees for filling petrol in the car and spent 4000 on liquor. This added a robbery case against them along with a case of kidnapping. The matter is now under scrutiny.

Advocate Kapil Shrimali pointed out the fact that finance companies must appeal in Jaipur court(Arbitration) under Arbitration and conciliation Act 1996 Section 17 when they need to seize a vehicle for which instalments have not been paid. Only after approval can they seize a vehicle. In the absence of approval, action is taken against finance company for seizing the vehicle.
