A broad daylight firing took place today afternoon around 1:30 pm at the Registration office in Udaipur. Thankfully the shooter missed his mark and there were no injuries. Hathipole Police immediately rushed to the spot and has started investigation.

Mali colony resident Sohan Puri Goswami s/o Nand Puri Goswami informed that today afternoon he had gone to registration office for some work. He is a stamp vendor by profession. He was returning to the registration office after getting some documents photocopied. It is then that two people called him from behind and stopped him. One of them then hung a pistol aimed at him. Panicked Sohan ran inside the regirstration office. The shooter took aim and shot but thankfully missed.

Sohan has alleged possible role of his sister-in-law’s son Naresh Giri and his accomplice Azam Khan in the shooting. Sohan said that Naresh and Azam had threatened to take his life a few days back.

Police is suspecting property dispute behind the firing. Sohan said that his Father-in-law and Naresh were in some property dispute for last few days. They were even fighting the case in court for the same. Naresh felt that Sohan was responsible for this dispute.
