In a random raid by Health and Medical Department held earlier this morning, ‘Gutkha’ worth Rs.1200 were confiscated in accordance with a rule that was recently passed against selling of tobacco across the state. Department issued challan against the shop owner for selling banned products.

The Squad of Health and Medical Department, headed by Chief Official Anil Bhargava, raided a General Store located at Thokar Chouraha.

Bhargava informed that Vyas General Store at Thokar Chouraha was selling restricted products which, after the raid, were seized. It was the only shop raided today after receiving information from a source.

Our sources informed that these restricted products are sold in huge quantities across the town at an exceptionally high price.
